The Nature Museum Nijmegen is housed in a former synagogue in the street ‘Gerard Noodstraat’ in Nijmegen, the building is on the list for rijksmonuments. You’ll find a large collection of stones, plants and animals that derived from the Gelderland riverarea. The collections consists of over 35,000 objects, for example mammoth bones. There is a nature reserve on walking distance that is called the ‘Gelderse Poort’ so it is great to combine with a walk through some beautifull landscapes.
