Stretching more than 9 kilometers, Zandvoort beach is one of the Netherland’s most popular beach resorts. Located in the town of the same name, the beach can be found in the North Holland province. It features a nudist beach and several recreational beaches. In the summer months, Zandvoort beach is packed with beach lovers young and old looking to soak up the sun and enjoy the ocean breeze.
There are more than 30 beach clubs at Zandvoort, and many of them are open all year round. These clubs serve food and drink to hungry beachgoers. They also serve as a protection against the sea breeze. Many of these clubs have their own themes and offer their own unique experience. Some are more tropical, while others are more romantic.
Zandvoort offers a 3km naturist, or nudist, beach. Along this stretch of coastline, there are five beach clubs between posts 68 and 71. Naturists are welcomed at these establishments. Naturist areas are clearly marked by signposts.
Award Winning Beach
Zandvoort beach has received the Blue Flag award and the Quality Coast flag award. These awards are only given to the cleanest beaches that offer excellent facilities. Lifeguard lookouts and a First Aid post are also nearby to keep an eye on swimmers.
Zandvoort beach is a great place to relax and soak up the sun, but there’s more to this beach than relaxation. Beachgoers can also enjoy:

Dogs are also allowed at Zandvoort beach, but there are some rules that need to be followed. Between April 15th and October 1st, dogs are not allowed on the beaches between 9AM and 7PM. Dogs are permitted on the beach between 7PM and 9AM. Between October 1st and April 15th, dogs can roam freely on the beach. These same rules apply to horses and those riding on the beach.
Zandvoort has two main dune areas: One in the North and one in the South. The dunes are an excellent place for cycling or walking, and some of the pathways are paved. The dune area also provides a great opportunity to explore nature. Beautiful flowers, local wildlife and many species of birds can be found on the dune paths.
